If you don't already know, Ped is my mobile Python IDE for Nokia S60 platform. I received a lot of pleasant words about it over time (thanks everyone!). Unfortunately, I haven't worked on it for couple of months now. Therefore I'm happy to announce that the work if moving forward again.
First step is to move Ped from its rather poor website to Google Code where I'll be able to maintain the code easily and able to add new developers in the future (I received some help proposals). When this is done, the home of Ped will be the Google Code page.
At the sam time, I'm introducing some new features to the Ped itself. Two most important ones are a plugins interface and internationalization. The upcoming release will bear the 2.30 number and is expected to be out shortly. Stay tuned.

Hi, no, I didn't know that. Nice to hear.
Thank you for the language file but the current state of Ped still isn't final so there still can be new strings added or changed.
Therefore I will wait until it reaches 2.30 final before adding new languages. I will contact you then for the final translation, ok?
Thank you very much.
Best wishes to you.
And wish you to create more powerful softwares.
One of the best utilities i have ever used.
Just started using PED today itself and its amazing.
Thanks Awahlig.
Hi there, I'm new to Ped, and I, uhm, don't know where to start. The discussion forum in Nokia Forum is closed, and I have nowhere to ask anything.
Right now, I have a little question. I don't know how to use Ped's auto complete feature. As you said, I have type the library name, follow with the dot (.) and then press the joystick. But nothing happen, the cursor just go to the next line. Am I do anything wrong? I am using Nokia 6620.
Please send me an email to tntonlyvn@yahoo.com, since I don't know if you can read my comment or not, and I don't know your mail to. Thanks in advance.
The main place to discuss all things about Ped is the Ped discussion group which can be found by following a link on the Ped's google code website.
The way of activating autocomplete that you describe is the old way from 1.x versions. Because in Ped 2.x the autocomplete can be activated not only after dots but at any time, you have to press the Green button (the pick-up button) followed by pressing the joystick.
I'm much appreciate! I was able to do it with a couple of tries. The feature was great! Thanks for the hard work and for supporting me.
do you think to update ped to running against pys60 1.9.3?
Thanks
